JULY 15: JENNIFER LAWRENCE STARS IN 'JOY' TRAILER AND NEW STILLS
David O' Russell's Joy, which is in theaters starting on December 25, stars Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss in The Hunger Games) and Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, Silver Linings Playbook, Serena, American Hustle). The film's long anticipated teaser trailer arrived with many stills this morning on Good Morning America. I'm personally excited to see Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper work together again, they were AMAZING in Silver Linings Playbook, among other movies, so I have no doubt they will do wonderful this year!

Director David O' Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle) says he "wanted to do an epic, unexpected story about the interior life of one woman's soul, from the ages of 10 to 40." He also said, "It's my first film that really has the woman as the star."

Joy follows the life of Joy Mangano, who has created different travel essentials and other products such as "Huggable Hangers."

While the film is still 5 months away, we can't wait for it! Read the official synopsis and see the trailer below.
JOY is the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces. Jennifer Lawrence stars, with Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Edgar Ramirez, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, and Virginia Madsen. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, Joy defies genre to tell a story of family, loyalty, and love.
